Greetings to the Vietnamese people on the 30th anniversary of their victory against US imperialism
For nearly 20 years the Vietnamese people fought against US imperialism. Such was the virility of their struggle, such was the heroism with which the nation fought against imperialism, that they fired the imagination and revolutionary enthusiasm of working people everywhere. There was hardly a country in the world in which there was not a strong anti-war movement calling for withdrawal of US imperialism and victory to the National Liberation Front. With all its high-tech killing machines and sophisticated armaments, US imperialism was defeated in the jungles and paddy-fields of South East Asia. We salute the millions of Vietnamese people who sacrificed so much in their epic struggle against imperialism and for national liberation and social progress.
